This was inspired by my wife's birthday. What geekier way to give her a gift than to load a picture of it onto her iPhone, locked and showing nice wrapping paper so she can't view the present until the big day.

You can use a picture out of your photo library, or take a picture with the camera on your iPhone. Choose from several really nice wrapping papers that overlay your photo. (Thanks to my brother Peter the Photographer.) Type in some custom messages, both outside that is readable always, and inside that can't be seen until the present is opened. "Happy Birthday" outside, with "Your New Sewing Machine" inside.

When the present can be opened, simply move the wrapping off with a finger.
